The Game

There was a flash, a loud noise, the irritating feeling of a lack of gravity – followed by the nauseating swirl of the great dark evacuating the tiny tin can constructed to travel through the star fields. An asteroid, just the size of a walnut, hit the ship with almost 10% of the speed of light, tearing an orifice, set with sharp metal teeth, in the silver hull.

The flexible substitute skin of the rocket managed to close the hole and stopped the maelstrom of space’s vacuum, leaving them with the shock of their life – and a severely damaged ship drifting though the darkness, minimally manoeuvrable.

The ships reactor was leaking and the energy reserves where dwindling. Their only option was to make it to one of the solitary unknown moons revolving around the great gas giant reigning the star system they were currently travelling through.

The severely damaged ship managed to crawl through the atmosphere of one of the tinier moons, cut through the sky and landed on the grey rocks of this ominous celestial body. They stepped outside in search of urgently needed fuel.

And this is where the story begins…

Spaceman Chronicles offers several worlds to discover:

  • Celestial Canyons: a rocky moon scarred with canyons. It is the playground to learn the basic movement for the platforming challenges and boss fights the game throws at the player.
  • Orbital Oceans: a blue planet, home to water which seems to defy gravity. Big bubbles transport the player from place to place, geysers speed up the player and throw them into every direction. In the deep the Kraken is waiting.
  • Heliospheric Heights: A frozen planet, marked by the highest mountains in this system. Falling boulders and platforms, strong winds and deadly icicles make the climb to the highest peaks a dangerous undertaking.

  • Lunar Lushness: A dense forest covers this small moon. Watch every step, as every part of this moon seems to be alive. Growing lianas, thorny bushes, carnivorous flowers – just some of the traps this jungle laid out for you.
  • Astral Automatons: Once a civilization mined the core of this planet, but now your echo is your only companion in these shafts and tunnels drilled into the rocks. Do be aware to not fall into the moving clogs of the ancient machines. Some of them seem to have developed a twisted sense of humour…
  • Keplars Kaos: A grand Finale fitting the journey behind the player: The very fabric of reality itself is out to get them, twisting the laws of physics on its head, expecting them to fall into the maelstrom of blackness which tries to swallow the system they grew so very fond of during their journey.
