Aizhan is applying for a work permit was made for the This Game Is Way Too Long-Jam. It is not to be supposed to be fun but to tell two different tales of misery.
On the one hand the misconception that only games with long enough playtime are worth playing and worth spending money on.
On the other hand the tale of the dehumanizing bureaucratic procedures people have to go through in many western countries, if they weren’t lucky enough to be born there. The game is playing in a fictive country and the process the player will come across is not an accurate depiction but just a short satirical cross section.
The overwhelming awe of the loneliness of space – packed in a cute pixel metroidvanian platformer. Spaceman Chronicles’ atmospheric worlds invite players to explore, discover and to master the controls to find out what marvellous sight is behind the next jump.
About pidibidi
pidibidi is me, Marcel Mindemann: Born in 1988, based in Leipzig, Germany; African Linguistic M.A.
I am making games since the end of 2018 when I downloaded Unity because it was cheaper than to buy a WiiU to play Super Mario Maker. I always was more of an allrounder, a jack of all traits, than a specialist in a single skill. This was what made game development so attractive to me: It requires strength in a lot of different skills. Thanks to game development I became a self-taught programmer, level designer, artist, musician, and audio engineer.
pidibidi is chosen from the language North Sotho, spoken in South Africa and means “duck”. Ducks are a jack of all traits just like me: They know how to walk, how to fly, how to swim and how to dive but are not experts in any of those fields. And the word pidibidi is just a lot of fun to say.
